EDGETrails is a new trail running series in 2027 bringing accessible trail racing to the edge of Scotland’s major cities.

Designed for everyone from first-time trail runners to experienced ultra runners, the series focuses on affordable entry fees, easy access, welcoming atmospheres and high-quality race experiences without the usual barriers of trail racing.

All events take place within 40 minutes of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness, using some of Scotland’s best forests and trail networks with ample parking, clearly marked routes and stunning scenery.

Distances range from Kids Fun Runs and 5Ks through to 10Ks, Half Marathons, Marathon and 50Km Ultra.

Every event is designed as a hassle-free, single-day experience, with complimentary coach transport provided from a central city location directly to the race venue.

No camping. No remote logistics. No intimidating ultra scene. Just great trails, good people and unforgettable running experiences close to home.
