Carron Valley Crusher – Opening Round of the GrALBA Series 2026

Get ready to kick off the GrALBA Series 2026 in style as the Carron Valley Crusher returns on Saturday, 4th April 2026! Set in the stunning Carron Valley on the edge of the Campsie Fells, this year’s event introduces an exciting new race format designed to test riders’ endurance, speed, and strategy.

The morning begins with a prologue-style gravel time trial (TT)—a solo effort against the clock through the fast, flowing forest tracks and punchy climbs that make Carron Valley a favourite among Scottish gravel riders. Then, in the afternoon, it’s time to go head-to-head in a gritty bunch race, where tactics, teamwork, and grit come into play.

Riders’ times from both stages will be combined to create an overall General Classification (GC) for the day—crowning the fastest and most consistent Crusher across two thrilling rounds of racing.

With its mix of scenic beauty, fierce competition, and festival atmosphere, the Carron Valley Crusher is the perfect start to an epic season of gravel racing in the South of Scotland’s GrALBA Series.
